CUET 2022 scores to replace grade 12 marks as admission criteria for UG courses in Central Universities

In an official notification, UGC recently announced the Central Universities Entrance Test (CUCET) 2022. CUET will be conducted by National Testing Agency (NTA) and is applicable for admissions to UG courses in 45 Central universities.

From the academic year 2022-2023, CUET scores will be used to fill up seats for UG admissions. Grade 12 marks will no longer be considered.

The list of universities that will accept CUET scores will soon be available on the NTA website. Apart from the participating Central universities, some state/private/deemed universities may also consider CUET scores.

The exam is conducted online in the first week of July. It will be based on Grade 12 NCERT syllabus.
