A big yes! The Internet of Things (IoT) describes the network of physical objects – ‘things’ – embedded with sensors, software and other technologies to connect and exchange data with other devices and systems over the internet. Many industries, including power, chemical, transportation, civil and healthcare, use IoT to operate and monitor their equipment. With a large amount of data generated from IoT, two more technologies: Machine Learning and AI, are utilized to deduce actions to manage the IoT. With 5G under development, the IoT job opportunities are plenty.
