To create interest in history and heritage and spread heritage awareness among youth, the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry (BCC&I) has designed various programmes. One such initiative was launched last year – the first edition of the Annual Heritage Quiz. The second edition of the Annual Heritage Quiz for Classes 8 to 12 will be held on April 13 and April 18.
“Creating heritage awareness is one of the prime objectives of the heritage committee of the Bengal Chamber of Commerce and Industry. In association with INTACH, the Indian National Trust for Art and Cultural Heritage, we have designed various programmes to take our mission forward. We need to create interest in heritage among the youth and for that we are conducting this heritage quiz which is a fun way of reaching out to youngsters. Our first edition last year was very well-received and so we decided to hold the second edition this year on the occasion of World Heritage Day. We look forward to an exciting event,” said G.M. Kapur, chairman Heritage Committee, The Bengal Chamber of Commerce & Industry.
